Join this conference of educators at Blue School on Tuesday, November 6 to discuss the powerful concept of Voice in our schools. We welcome all educators to partake in a day of conversation and study focused on Voice. We will be hosting various seminars led by educators throughout the day, as well as our keynote address by Susan Harris MacKay, Pedagogical Director at Opal School and Portland Children's Museum.

A few leading questions to guide us:

How do schools promote the development of children’s voices beginning in early childhood through Middle School and beyond?

What is the role of our schools and our classrooms in promoting the development of children’s voices?

What is the connection between identity and voice?

How do students become thoughtful about when and for what they should use their voices?
