ADMISSIONS TOURS

Our tours take place while school is in session. They are an opportunity to look closely. We enter classrooms to observe conversations, to see the documentation on the walls, to watch the way students treat one another and to hear the voices in which teachers speak to children and in which students speak to each other. The connections between people are palpable. From 2 year olds to 14 year olds, you’ll see children who are seen and known and who are showing up with their full selves.

We offer tours of each division of the school: Pre-primary, Primary and Middle School. If you are interested in learning about our programs for 2-4 year olds, we will spend most of the tour looking at our Pre-primary classrooms, discussing our materials-rich, inquiry-driven programs. Our Primary tours are focused on getting to know our kindergarten-3rd grade classrooms. You will learn about our Big Studies, year long inquiries that take place in each class, as well as our thoughtful reading, writing, math, science, Spanish and STEAM classes. Our 4th-8th grade tours will introduce you to our Upper-primary and Middle School programs. You’ll spend time in our newest building at 156 William Street, learn about Middle School curriculum and see Math, Novels & Nonfiction and Integrated Studies classes in session.

Most importantly, no matter how old your child is, you will get a feel for the people who make up the Blue School community: a diverse group of students, teachers and staff members who are committed to being in thoughtful relationship with each other. We are so excited to welcome you to Blue School.

You are welcome to register for a tour in Ravenna, our online admissions portal. If you have any questions about registration or availability, please feel free to contact admissions@blueschool.org.
